True Confession: I caught my uncle’s wife having sex with gateman in her husband’s bedroom

Image
My purpose of writing is to get people’s opinion on what to do. I arrived Lagos about three months ago to stay with my uncle and his wife, who’s an Ibo woman. By the way my uncle is from Edo State and their marriage is about four years without kids. In the last week of August my bros travelled to the North on official business and something happened in his bedroom. Cheating wife I came back that day because I could not meet up a job appointment in Igando area due to heavy traffic. I was reluctant to return home since I had just left but I couldn’t think of a better place to go so I headed home. On getting to our compound, I didn’t find the gate man at his post and I was even angry because of the security risk of him leaving the gate open like that. But something got me worried when I saw the gate man’s sandals right inside our sitting room. I just told myself that something is going on between my uncle’s wife and this dirty boy. I was right, when I moved close to the wind...

True Confession: My boyfriend impregnated me and my daughter

Image
I am in my early 50s. I am divorced; have been for more than a decade. I live on my own with my three children. About a year ago, I went into a relationship with a man four years younger than I am. Being married, we meet in my place. As a matter of fact he has the key to my flat. It was better than going to hotels. Besides, my daughters were grown up to appreciate that I need a man in my life. Well, I thought I could trust him so I gave him permission to come to my house whenever he likes I am in or not. I also assumed my daughters were responsible enough to see him as their father. Unfortunately, I miscalculated. Unknown to me while he was having affairs with me, he was also sleeping with my two older daughters. I didn’t know what was happening until I took my elders daughter to the hospital following her persistent complains of malaria. I also haven’t been feeling well; so decided to visit the hospital with my daughter. When the result came out, we were both pronounced pre...

36-year-old virgin shares the secrets of abstinence

Image
Practicing abstinence is probably one of the most challenging things to do. Your mind, spirit, and body are constantly in conflict as you decide which one (or two) is the most accurate. Aside from the benefits of practicing abstinence that are taught in the Christian faith, refraining from sex has been scientifically proven to be successful for women who are seeking marriage. Scientists believe women who “play hard to get” are able to assess a man who will stick by her side during pregnancy. Forty-three-year-old Lakita Garth was a 36-year-old virgin in 2005 when she kissed her boyfriend-turned-husband for the first time. Garth has gone public about her 36 years of virginity and is now helping other women around the world learn how to refrain from sex prior to marriage. Excerpts from her interview are below: On Her Family’s Influence on Her Choice: In my family, if you had sex outside of marriage, someone got married, or someone got shot! I come from a line of Christians ...

Senators, Rep members have no right to Budget since they don’t collect taxes – Fashola

Image
The Minister of Power, Workers and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, has said Federal lawmakers have no right to increase national budget since they don’t collect tax. Speaking at a forum organised by the Nigerian Bar Association on Monday, the former Lagos State governor, said the legislature lacked the power to unilaterally increase national budget. Stating that the major responsibility of the legislature was representation, Fashola expressed the need for collaboration between the two arms of government in the budget process, stressing that it will help to avoid friction. Fashola said, “I like to say that it is not appropriate for parliament to unilaterally seek to increase the budget because they do not collect taxes. “I think there should be collaboration between the executive and the legislature in the budgeting process. In this process, clear lines should be drawn because compromise is better achieved where all parties know their rights. “If we say constituency p...

Image
*Say two suspects, Stanley, Felix seized by NNS Delta not NDA members WARRI- THE Niger Delta Avengers, NDA, this morning, confronted the Commander of Operation Delta Safe, Rear Admiral Joseph Okojie and Commanding Officer, NNS Delta, Commodore Joseph Dzunye, asking them to come to the creeks of the Niger Delta, rather than stay in the cities and arrest “sleeper” agents, who they brand as NDA members to curry favour from their superiors. Spokesperson of NDA, self-styled Brig General Mudoch Agbinibo, threw the challenge in a statement rebutting the claim by NNS Delta commander on Saturday that two suspects, Stanley Tonghan and Felix Miyenminiye, arrested by the navy, few days ago, were members of the militant group. NDA said that the two suspects were agents working in conjunction with security agencies and were paid N5 million by two leaders (names withheld) to give Nigeria military intelligence on the activities of the group. The statement read: “We made it clear that the Nigeria m...

Boko Haram releases new video of alleged Chibok girls

Boko Haram on Sunday released a video of the girls allegedly kidnapped from Chibok in April 2014, showing some who are still alive and claiming others died in air strikes. The video is the latest release from embattled Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau, who earlier this month denied claims that he had been replaced as the leader of the jihadist group. “They should know that their children are still in our hands,” said a man whose face was covered by a turban in the video posted on YouTube. “There is a number of the girls, about 40 of them, that have been married by the decision of Allah,” said the man in the 11-minute video, which shows girls with veils sitting on the ground and standing in the background. “Some of them have died as a result of aerial bombardment.” The mass kidnapping of 276 Chibok schoolgirls in April 2014 provoked global outrage and brought unprecedented attention on the Boko Haram conflict, in which at least 20,000 people have been killed since 2009. Throughout 201...

A 50-year-old trader, Mrs Kehinde Adewunmi, on Thursday in Lagos broke down in tears while on her knees begging her estranged husband, Jamiu Adewunmi, not to divorce her. Kehinde, a mother of four, in her plea said, “Please court; help me beg him, where will I get a man at my age to marry me if my husband divorces me. “I am ready to make amends wherever I might have made mistakes; I am not ready to divorce my husband. “I still love him and besides, I do not want my children to suffer this action because they are innocent. ISIS claim another reason Trump shouldn’t be president – Clinton

Image
Hillary Clinton admonished rival Donald Trump on Thursday for claiming that she and Barack Obama were the founders of the Islamic State, saying anyone who would “sink so low” should never be president. “No, Barack Obama is not the founder of ISIS,” Clinton tweeted. “Anyone willing to sink so low, so often should never be allowed to serve as our Commander-in-Chief.” Trump again roiled the presidential campaign late Wednesday, telling a rally in Florida that Obama “is the founder of ISIS.”“And I would say, the co-founder would be crooked Hillary Clinton.” Republicans have long stated that the foreign policies of Obama and his then-secretary of state Clinton share blame in helping create conditions that allowed IS to grow in Iraq and Syria. IS was founded in 2013, months after Clinton left the State Department. It was born out of the terror group Al-Qaeda in Iraq that grew in strength in 2006 following Republican president George W. Bush’s decision to invade Iraq in 2003. ...
