WARRI- VOICE Delta, a group waging war against renewed militancy in the Niger-Delta region has disclosed how the Federal Government could seize the supposed leader of the dreaded Niger Delta Avengers, NDA, within one week. THE Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta said on Saturday that it had reached an agreement with the Federal Government for the conditional release of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, and former MEND leader, Henry Okah. The militant group in the Niger Delta disclosed that the Federal Government also agreed that Okah’s younger brother, Charles, and Obi Nwabueze would be granted conditional freedom. MEND in a statement signed by its spokesperson, Jomo Gbomo, said the agreement was reached after the Aaron Team representatives from Abia and Imo States, Senator Adolphus Wabara, made a proposal for their freedom. Police detectives from the Delta State Command have quizzed a bishop of a new generation church in Warri over allegation of sponsoring the militant group, the Niger Delta Avengers. Report gathered that the bishop (name withheld), hails from Ogbinbiri community of Egbema (Ijaw) Kingdom in the Warri North Council Area of the state and is the presiding bishop of the New Salvation Zion Church of Christ at Igbodu area of the city. Security sources said the church leader was invited for interrogation following two petitions alleging that he was funding the militant group. The interrogation was conducted at the Warri Area Command of the Delta State Police Command.
